Project Description:

To facilitate sound investment and increase funding for water, sanitation, and hygiene education projects in rural, slum, and peri-urban areas of the developing world in order to achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goal for Water. Agora has already done extensive work in the water sector and we determined the need of this work as a result of our past experience. This is fundamentally an effort to build the capacity of the water sector in the United States rather than to provide direct funding for water/sanitation projects in developing countries. Agora-H2O.Org develops and executes plans to strengthen and increase the amount of funding derived from individual donors in the water sector.
