Social justice
The mission of LAEP is to correct the injustice of wrongful conviction and incarceration by assisting exonerees and their family members in re-building their lives on the outside of prison walls, by working together to secure their physical, spiritual, psychological, social, and economic well being. The three principal strategies employed to achieve LAEP’s goals are: 1) creation of a network of social services and mentoring opportunities; 2) creation of a network of the exonerated; 3) sustained policy and advocacy development activities.
