Project Description:

Innovations Incubator seeks to improve the quality and efficiency of chronic care provided by California's community clinics, which disproportionately serve the uninsured in the State of California. While we have long believed and continue to support the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems with the understanding that their effective use will promote higher quality (and more efficient) health care, the price point for these systems remains inordinately high. Economies of scale and current pricing dictate that group purchasing and centrally hosted models are the more likely bets for consistent, sustainable, and affordable adoption.
