The California Health Funders Strategies Project is a continuation of previous discussions among multiple foundations and organizations across California that are interested in pursuing a collaborative approach to developing common funding principles for health information technology in community clinics, learning from one another’s funding projects in this area, identifying opportunities for coordinated funding and applying lessons learned from others grant making experience in this area to their respective constituents. All of the Funders involved in this project share the common overarching goal of increasing access to uninsured and underinsured Californian’s and believe that technology innovations are one important pathway to achieve this goal.
