The Center for Environment and Population (CEP) addresses the relationship between human population, resource consumption, and the environment. CEP works to strengthen the scientific basis of policies and public outreach to achieve a long-term sustainable balance between people and the natural environment. To do this, the Center compiles and assesses the most current knowledge and emerging trends on the issues; produces cutting-edge reports and other popular resource materials for policy makers, the media and public, and; undertakes events and activities to integrate the materials and information into policies and public outreach.
