


| Drummond Pike Founder and CEO, Tides Drummond Pike is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tides. Awarded as an Outstanding Foundation Professional, Drummond helped pioneer the advent of donor advised funds in philanthropy. Through his leadership, Tides has helped increase the capacity and effectiveness of thousands of social change organizations. Drummond was a founder and Associate Director of the Youth Project in Washington, DC, and served as Executive Director of the Shalan Foundation from 1976 to 1981. He was among the original founders of Working Assets, a telecommunications company dedicated to progressive philanthropy and political activism. |

| Carla Dartis Senior Vice President, Tides and Managing Director, Tides Center Carla Dartis is part of the executive team at Tides which is responsible for the integrated management of the Tides organizations. As Managing Director of Tides Center, Carla is also responsible for directing its operations, including full service fiscal sponsorship services to over 200 Tides Center projects. Carla has over 25 years’ experience in nonprofit management and economic development with an emphasis on providing support and infrastructure to vital nonprofit efforts. Prior to Tides, she was the Vice President of Community Investment for the East Bay Community Foundation. Previously, Carla was the Program Officer for Children, Families, and Communities at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and an Annie E. Casey Foundation Children and Families Leadership Fellow. She was also Vice President for the Bank of America Community Development Bank, President of the Drew Economic Development Corporation, and Principal Loan Officer for the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development in Los Angeles. Carla is a commissioner on the First 5 California Commission and serves on the boards of the Zions Bank Community Investment Corporation and the Mercy Housing Loan Fund. Carla holds a B.S. in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. |

| Ellen Friedman Executive Vice President, Tides Ellen Friedman has been with Tides since 1987. As Executive Vice President, she is responsible for organizational operations and integrated management of the Tides organizations. Ellen also manages the Community Clinics Initiative, a partnership with The California Endowment working to strengthen community health centers throughout California. She brings a long history of advising individual donors on issues of philanthropic planning, violence against women, the Jewish community, and environmental issues. Before coming to Tides, Ellen served as a Program Officer at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in Los Angeles. She is a board member of the 3 Guineas Fund, New Field Foundation, Institute for Jewish Spirituality and the Family Violence Prevention Fund. |

| Farnaz Golshani Director of Programs and Services Farnaz Golshani joined Tides Center in March 2007. She has a very diverse background of experiences and skills ranging from teaching English and photography in the Los Angeles Unified School District, working as a visual artist, running youth development and gang prevention programs, and consulting to nonprofits and foundations. Most recently, Farnaz consulted to foundations through FSG Social Impact Advisors, a respected philanthropic consulting firm. Prior to moving to San Francisco in 2006, Farnaz was the Vice President of Programs at Chrysalis, an L.A.-based nonprofit that helps homeless individuals become self sufficient through employment opportunities. Farnaz holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a BA in English and Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. |

| Jane Levikow Director of External Relations Jane Levikow joined Tides Center in 1995. She has over twenty years of experience in providing strategic vision, leadership, and management to all aspects of nonprofit organizations. Before joining Tides Center she was a Sister of Social Service, a religious community of women dedicated to social justice, where she served as the social justice director. Jane has served on the board of directors and steering committees of the Peace and Justice Center of Southern California, Building Bridges/Out and Equal, and the Interfaith Task Force on Central America and Health Access, to name a few, and also volunteers for various AIDS charities and gay and lesbian organizations. Jane holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Lone Mountain University of San Francisco and an MA in ethics from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology. |

| Gail Ravitz Interim Director of Finance Gail Ravitz joined Tides Center in August 2007. She has over thirty years of experience working in finance and accounting in both the public and private sectors. Previous to joining Tides Center, she served as the Chief Financial Officer of Partners for Democratic Change, a San Francisco-based international development organization, where she developed and conducted a training program in financial management for NGOs in 14 countries over four continents. Prior to Partners for Democratic Change, Gail served as the Director of Finance at Baker Places, Inc., a nonprofit human services agency where she was responsible for a $15 million budget and managed $15 million in government grants. Gail studied finance and accounting at San Francisco State University, accounting and sociology at the University of the Virgin Islands, and pre-med at Queens College. She is a member of the American Society of Women Accountants and served on its Board of Directors from 1990 to 1993. |
